Our Program

At the USC Meningioma Therapeutics Center, we offer comprehensive, 360-degree multidisciplinary treatment of meningiomas, the most common primary intracranial tumors. We are a leading international clinical destination for patients who suffer from meningiomas, with decades of experience and unsurpassed patient outcomes.

Our multidisciplinary program includes internationally recognized specialists from neurosurgery, otolaryngology (head and neck surgery), radiation oncology, neuro-oncology, neuroradiology, ophthalmology, anesthesia, neuropathology, plastic and reconstructive surgery and neuroendocrinology. Our team has treated thousands of patients with meningiomas, often resulting in complete tumor removal or long-term tumor control.

We offer expertise on atypical (grade II) and anaplastic/malignant (grade III) meningiomas that are often recurrent or resistant, with surgical options including cranial base, minimally invasive and endoscopic procedures. We are the only academic center in Los Angeles to perform minimally invasive Gamma Knife radiosurgery, in addition to other radiosurgery modalities such as TrueBeam and standard intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT).

Our services also include access to the latest targeted medical treatments and clinical trials for meningiomas— as well as basic and translational research efforts that include drug development and immunotherapy.

Our Approach

We provide a concierge-style experience that delivers top-level care across integrated disciplines. As a patient, you get access to a program navigator who will work with you to individualize your care plan and guide you through streamlined diagnostics (such as imaging, laboratory tests and audiometry) and treatment.

Same-day consultations are available, and initial telemedicine consultations are available for those who live farther away and plan to travel to Keck Medicine of USC for treatment. In order to streamline care, multiple consultants will see you in an integrated clinic during initial and follow-up visits, and a multidisciplinary board will review your case in order to ensure you receive the most appropriate and effective care possible.
