Description

During this in-person class, expectant parents will explore the “Understanding Breastfeeding” Student Handbook which will be mailed to you. A lactation specialist will provide you with information about the benefits of breastfeeding, hands-on demonstration of techniques for positioning your infant, how-to ensure nutritive latch, healthy milk production, pumping success, storing of human milk, prevention and relief of common problems and a Q&A session. Your support person is encouraged to join us. You will be asked to use a doll or rolled blanket as your “baby” while practicing hands-on exercises as the instructor walks you through the skills.

You will also be provided with access to an informative mobile app that will keep important information at your fingertips before and during your breastfeeding journey.

Registration must be completed online to secure your spot in class. Only one registration per couple is needed. Once confirmed, a detailed email with the virtual class link will be sent to you.
